Outdoor Learning

Every year group has really got stuck into outdoor learning this term, as well as taking full advantage of our new waterproof suits, so not even the rain can stop us!

From target practise with new found archery skills, mind boggling team building challenges and bushcraft and fire lighting skills, it’s already been a busy start to the year!

  • Foundation stage learnt about bushcraft skills and even had the opportunity to toast their own marshmallows on a fire they built, whilst also learning all about fire safety.
  • Year 2 have not only been combining outdoor learning sessions with maths and phonics but also trying new things, for example archery whilst practising their number partitioning and their sounds during a competitive game of bagatelle!
  • Year 3 kicked the term off with some team building challenges, abiding the toxic custard swamp, whilst balancing on a logs and planks bridge they had made as well as defeating the Towers of Hanoi!
