Cygnet Parenting Support

A parenting programme for parents and carers of children and young people aged 5-18 with an autistic spectrum condition.

Kent Young Carers logo

Kent Young Carers is the countywide service for Young Carers aged 5-18 across Kent. Young Carers are taking on caring responsibilities for a family member with a long-term illness, disability, mental health or substance misuse issue.

KYC works with schools, communities, and statutory and voluntary agencies to identify hidden young carers. Following assessment, KYC offer a range of short-term interventions including signposting, one-to-one support, in school support and workshops.

School Health (Kent) Support for children and young people aged 4 – 19 including those who do not attend school. Offering education support, emotional health and wellbeing.

HIS – Help Information Support for Men: Men are often brought up with unrealistic expectations that they have to be strong and in control. When things go wrong in life, as they often do, negative feelings can spiral out of control and they have no way of coping with these new feelings. Support services for men.

Beat Eating Disorders: Beat are there to support people who have or are worried they have an eating disorder, as well as others affected, such as friends and family members.

Rape and Sexual Abuse:

Family Matters: Support Services and advice for victims of Rape and Sexual Abuse. Family Matters Counselling Service has been created to provide skilled help for children and adults who are experiencing difficulty with physical and mental scars due to sexual abuse and rape.

Family Support for Children with Additional/Special Needs:

Family Support Information Service: Provides information, advice, support and training to individuals, families/carers and professionals affected by Autism.

Kent Autistic Trust: Support for Autism

IASK – Information, Advice and Support Kent (IASK): Supporting families of children and young people 0 – 25 with special educational needs or disabilities, providing advice, advocacy services, providing information, preparing paperwork, provide independent support for the SEN process and annual reviews.

Hope Again is a youth website to Cruse Bereavement and offers a safe place for youth people to learn to cope with loss and grief. 

Help is at HandSupport after someone may have died by suicide.  A guide dedicated to those grieving the death of someone they love.  

Victim Support: If you’ve been a victim or a witness to a crime and need support, trained supporters are available 24/7.

OK Rehab:

OK Rehab specialises in addiction treatment. This treatment is available via both inpatient and outpatient treatment providers. OK Rehab work with clinics that are able to facilitate treatment taking place in your own home, who are able to provide professional intervention and home detoxification.
