Good morning,

I hope everyone has had a good break and am very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back tomorrow morning.
It is well documented in the media and at the Prime Minister’s press conference yesterday that the number of new covid-19 infections and the rate of transmission are each still continuing to grow. Although these are thankfully comparatively low in the south east, clearly we should not be complacent.
In this context, and to maximise the safety and well being of pupils and colleagues, I am requesting that from tomorrow, Monday 2 November:
  • All visiting adults, including parents dropping-off or collecting pupils, wear a face covering unless they are exempt, and
  • that families please do not arrive before 8.30am for drop-off and not before 2.55pm or 3.10pm for pick-up – ultimately, that we keep the number of visiting adults on site as low as possible, for as short a time as is necessary.
I am very pleased to share that to date we continue to have no virus notifications in our academy.
With very best wishes
Scott
